Join the PPSA for a Gallery Hop to two of Penn’s premiere cultural institutions. We will begin at 3:30 pm at the Arthur Ross Gallery (Fisher Fine Arts Library, 220 South 34th Street) to view the exhibition Shared Vision: The Myron A. and Anne Jaffe Portenar Collection, which includes 62 works drawn from the Portenars’ extraordinary gift of over 800 prints, paintings, sculptures, photographs, and works on paper donated to the University in 2013. Lynn Marsden-Atlass, Director of the Arthur Ross Gallery and Curator of the University’s Art Collection, will be on hand to speak to us briefly about the show.

Then we will walk to the Penn Museum (3260 South Street) to view the exhibition, In the Artifact Lab: Conserving Egyptian Mummies, where we will speak with Museum conservators about their current projects and watch them work. Following the Gallery Hop, please join us in the Penn Museum’s Stoner Courtyard for their final Summer Nights Concert of the season featuring the ever-popular band Animus, an internationally acclaimed ensemble offering an exciting fusion of ancient and modern music with traditional elements of Greek, Rock, Middle Eastern, Blues, Indian, Jazz, and African music. (Concert begins at 5:00 p.m.)

Space is limited. Register here by August 29: http://wharton.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3UlmxDChkWXeXEp
